Chugwater is Tree City USA, which 2013 was our 8th year. We take much in this and work very hard it maintain our trees and try to enhance our town of Chugwater with gorgeous trees.
The Chili Cook-off is our annual fund-raiser. Which is held every year on the Saturday before Father's Day. We have live bands, vendors, a quilt show, arts & crafts show, a beer wagon, and lots of chili. Chili cooks compete in red and green chili as well as salsa. The winner of the red chili is invited to join the chili cook offs in Texas.
The weekend after the Chili Cook-off we host the bicyclist from Cheyenne to Chugwater and back. We have snacks for them when they arrive. This year we had watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, water and chili (of course).
