CHUG - Chugwater Historical Unity Group
CHUG is a non-profit corporation with the goal to collect and preserve material relating to the history of the Chugwater Community. CHUG's purpose is to:
- Promote knowledge of Wyoming and Western history
- Collect and conserve records, artifacts, traditions, and structures of the Chugwater Community
- Document the history and character of the people involved in the social, economic, and educational development of Chugwater ranches and homesteads
- Present these materials for public study and review
- Create and operate a museum and archives as an education resource for public study and enjoyment
Museum hours are 1 PM – 4 PM, every Saturday and Sunday,
Memorial Day through Labor Day,
as well as Labor Day, the 4th of July, and Memorial Day. Special openings may be arranged by contacting one of the CHUG members.
Membership is open to all interested persons and dues are $5 per year. Meetings are held on the third Monday at 7 PM each month, September through May at the Chugwater Community Center. In June there is a special meeting or tour. We always enjoy the opportunity for others to share programs of special interest about the area.
